Entry#3. Wall-E!!

When I saw the clip I thought it was an interesting entertainment. The way it  illustrated humans was very different from reality. It made life revolve around technology, which is in some way true. However, our world is not that crazy about technology. We still have dates and face to face conversations.

It is very depressing to think of a world that simply relies on technology. There were no real trees and flowers. Everywhere was surrounded by computers, lights, and robots. People just drove themselves to their next daily activities without looking around. It looked lifeless. There was also no individualism; everybody looked the same. They all wore the same red outfit.

The clip is relevant to certain extents. Nowadays, we do rely on technology. We all drive ourselves, call our friends, and watch television. In fact, our lives would not be the same without all the technology we daily use. Yet, we still interact with each other. We have not forgotten how important it is to socialize and enjoy each other's company. Unlike us, the people in the clip submerged their lives with technology. They still talked to each other, but through screens.

I loved the woman reaction after Wall-E unplugged her from her computer. She was so amazed at what was going on outside of her conversation. She looked around amazed at how the world actually looked. It was sad to watch how she had never really noticed anything that went around her. Moreover, the scene were the young man fell out of his car was interesting. The guy could not get up on his own, he was basically helpless on his own. I don't think our world will ever get to that point.

  1. I've people almost as bad as that woman. They spend so much time on their phone, they barely seem to know what's going on a round them. If I were to take away their phone, they would be lost without it.
