Introduction Practice Entry

                                           INTRODUCTION

Hi, my name is Rebecca Betiku and I was born in West Africa. I have lived there most of my life, and after I got married I moved to Italy. I have three children, two teenagers and a twelve year old. I love them! I also have two dogs and five fishes. My dogs are named Hero and Cute.

I love helping the needy. If I happened to be a rich person I would have touched the world. However, since I am a middle class woman I try my best to help in the every way that I can. For example, I have an adopted child in Tanzania she's my twelve year old daughter. She is adorable and I am blessed to be able to help her.

My favorite thing to do is hanging out with my family and friends. I also love traveling!! I have been in many countries in Europe and Africa. I have been to:
  • London
  • Germany
  • Austria
  • Egypt
  • Nigeria
  • Ghana
  • France
  • Italy (Venice, Sicily, Rome, Palermo, Milan, Verona)
  • America (Arizona, Maryland, Texas, Los Angeles, Las Vegas)
My goal in Glendale Community College is pursuing my degree.

Entry #1. All about blogs!

Blogs are ways individuals and groups of people share their personal opinions, activities of daily living, and information on a regular basis. There are mainly three types of blogs: professional, corporate, and personal. Professional blogs are informative. They inform people about jobs, books, cooking, and any type of professional career or hobby. Their language and format are instructive. Corporate blogs combine both personal and professional information. Personal blogs are used to share personal information. The authors are sharing their entrepreneurial ideas and personal life events with whomsoever wants to know. They're tone are friendly, and the audience are friends and family members.

  • I really liked Kelly's fun recipes at http://www.eat-yourself-skinny.com/ . Not only did she have good recipes but she was also able to nicely share her personal life. Her tone and language was welcoming and friendly.
  •  I did not really like the Fast Lane blog (http://fastlane.gmblogs.com/ ). It only focused on cars and I'm not a fan of cars. I thought it was boring and very repetitive. The audience are people interest in cars and the new models.
  • I also enjoyed reading the shootingallens blog (http://shootingallens.posterous.com/). It was interesting and funny to read the posts, because their children were so cute. However, it would have been more interesting if I knew them personally. It would have added more impression.
